This is a live performance by the shakuhachi and piano unit "Umigame", composed of shakuhachi player: Jun Watanabe and composer/pianist: Kenji Kanemasu.

Since 2009, they have been active as a duo through live performances, commissioned concerts, and event performances.
From Japanese and foreign folk songs, tango and Latin to originals and individual solos, this duo offers a free and solo sound space.
By the way, the first piece I performed was Astor Piazzolla's "Escuaro" at the Tokyo National Museum Heiseikan. (March 2009)
